Meet our Spanish Teachers
Señora Mcleod is a local resident whose passion is teaching children the language and culture of the Spanish speaking world. She has been teaching Spanish to middle school aged children in Pepperell for 20 years. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish from the University of Massachusetts and a Master’s Degree in secondary education from Fitchburg State University. In her free time she enjoys traveling, spending time with family, and designing jewelry.
Senora Tirado is a new Spanish teacher at Nissitissit. She is currently a Masters of Education student at Fitchburg State University. She obtained her Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Worcester State University. Mrs. Tirado has experience in mental health, as she was a counselor and social worker for 13 years. Mrs. Tirado is a native of Puerto Rico who moved here at the age of 8. Mrs. Tirado has a deep understanding of the challenges that come with learning a new language, as she herself learned English as a second language. She enjoys sharing stories from the Puertorican culture with her students as well as experiences from her life on the island. When Mrs. Tirado is not doing homework, she is spending time with her son, daughter and husband. She also enjoys spending time with friends in Boston at fashion shows and panel discussions on art and culture. She also loves to travel abroad and experience other cultures with her family.
