Please see the message below from Superintendent Morgan. To clarify, tomorrow’s parent conferences (both 12:00-2:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m.) have been rescheduled to Wednesday, December 5. Tomorrow, November 20 will be a full day of school for students. The Best Buddies Pot Luck will also be rescheduled to December 5. At this point, pie pick up will still be tomorrow night from 6:00-8:00 p.m. We will notify you if that changes.
In an effort to be proactive with tomorrow’s forecasted weather, tomorrow will be a FULL DAY of school.
With the forecast calling for snow beginning at 5:00 am and colder temperatures, the planned early release will eliminate my ability to call a 2-hour delay and force a school cancellation. By converting tomorrow to a full day, it at least gives me the option of calling a 2-hour delay if needed.
Tomorrow’s half day and whatever each school had scheduled, (i.e. parent conferences, professional development, etc.) will be rescheduled to Wednesday, December 5th. This means that if you had a parent conference scheduled for tomorrow, it would be rescheduled to the same time on Wednesday, December 5th.
I apologize for the short notice, but again this gives me the option of a 2-hour delay and if by chance I do have to cancel school outright, a back-up day (Wednesday, December 5th) has been planned.
I am hoping that the month of November is not a sign of what is to come this winter. I also want to take this opportunity to wish all of you a Happy Thanksgiving.
