Bluebird Boxes

Ten years ago, students built and erected 24 bluebird boxes around the school grounds.  However, it was noticed over the years that occupancy rates were quite low.  Last year, students took in many of the old boxes and they were repaired by Mr. Pineda and his son.  They were then placed in new locations, nailed onto the school’s landscaped trees.  And…voila….100% occupancy rate.  Today, students checked the boxes and verified the nesting of several pairs of House Sparrows and Eastern Bluebirds. Now, that’s a great example of the Growth Mindset!
