On Tuesday, November 10, Mrs. Carbone, Ms. Carlson, Mrs. Greelis, Mr. Noon, Mr. Worth and Mrs. Worth had the opportunity to attend the STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) Summit at the DCU Center in Worcester. They attended STEM workshops to learn how other districts are incorporating STEM into their schools. They saw many wonderful exhibits that provided ideas for our own STEAM Day.  Governor Charlie Baker and UMASS President Marty Meehan spoke at the Summit promoting the advancement of the STEM curriculum. The Biogen Cooperation made a poster honoring Mr. Worth who was awarded a grant for $500.00 for our technology department! This grant has been used to start our Raspberry Pi Program. Please take a look at the poster in the lobby that shows off the Raspberry Pi program! NMS is fortunate to have a dream STEAM Team!
