Happy Pi Day from NMS!

Today, our teams celebrated Pi Day. Pi Day is celebrated on March 14 around the world. Pi (Greek letter “π”) is the symbol used in mathematics to represent a constant — the ratio of the circumference of a circle to it’s diameter — which is approximately 3.14159. The Grade 5 Red Team celebrated with a Pi Day Challenge today as well as many other Pi Day activities. One contest was to see who could memorize the most digits of Pi. Our winners are as follows:

1st Place-Sydney V. with 70 digits of Pi
2nd Place-Aiden G. with 61 digits of Pi
3rd Place- Tessa H. with 49 digits of Pi
WOW and congratulations to these students!!
