Please check out this great service learning opportunity in our district. It is open to all students!
To whom it may concern,
My name is Tyler Libonate, I am writing on behalf of the student coordinators of the third annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service to be held at North Middlesex Regional High School. On January 19, 2015 we will be hosting a day of service as a part of the National Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service, helping to make it “a day ON, rather than a day OFF.”
The day will be composed of two sessions 10:00am-12:00pm and 12:00pm-2:00pm, each session will have various service projects through which attendees will be able to rotate benefiting a variety of local agencies, in addition to offsite projects which have limited availability. The service projects are oriented around the basic needs of the surrounding communities and students will be able to learn about each project and why they are doing this activity. This is a great opportunity to give back to your local community, in addition to participating in a national event happening in every state. You, as well as your peers, students, friends and family are invited. There is no age limit, the event is for children to senior adults.
We are asking that all attendees RSVP to the Service Learning Coordinator, Raymond Kane at email@example.com with the number of participants that will be attending and in which session you would like to participate. Check out information on our website at http://nmrhsservicelearning.webs.com
I thank you for taking the time to read this letter and encourage you to attend, as well as, share this event with all of your friends and colleagues. If you have any questions, comments, or want more information please feel free to contact the email listed above or call 978-597-8721 at x2232. We hope to see you there!
