‘Tis the season for caring and sharing! Our Student Council has joined forces with the high school this year to bring you the Giving Tree Community Service Project. Our students have created a tree (pictured above) in our lobby. Over the last week, we have placed over 150 tags on the tree. Many of these tags flew right off the tree! When students, staff, or parents leave with a tag, they also go home with a half sheet explaining how it works. Gifts from the giving tree provide toys and clothing for children who otherwise would have nothing to open Christmas morning. The tags represent families referred by the Department of Children and Families, Luc Inc., as well as some in district families. All are welcome to take tags, buy the gift, and return the item(s) wrapped with the tag attached by Friday, December 12. If the gifts aren’t wrapped, that’s okay. We’ll wrap them as they come in.
Students should not feel obligated to take a tag! However, if you take a tag, it’s very important that you return the gift with the tag by the 12th! Otherwise, that child may not get their present. Gifts can be brought to the main office or brought to Ms. Hall, our Student Council Advisor, in room 211.
Thank you for your support!
